Under The Milkyway

OK. Here it is!!! I've waited since winter to try out some awesome Milky Way photography and finally I went out last night with my girl and my other girl (shhh) and shot away!!! I don't have those  awesome, expensive gear like the pros do but what I have is a t3i with kit lens. I also have a 50mm but I prefer the kit lens for this one for a wider shot. I honestly didn't think I could pull it off but I think I did well my first time. All images taken along Skyline Drive at Shenandoah National Park, VA.

Under The Milky Way, ISO 1600 18mm f/3.5 30sec

Milky Way, ISO 1600 18mm f/3.5 30sec (Plus a couple of shooting stars!!!)

Bonus

Venus, ISO 800 50mm f/1.8 1/30sec

Waning Gibbous, ISO 400 250mm f/6.3 1/30sec

Experiment, be creative, and keep shooting; generally, that's the only way to improve you photography skills.
